Metal Fabrication & Welding Services
The team at STF are highly experienced and creative in a wide range of general welding and fabrication, including bespoke metal work, re-creating or repairing, signage, furniture fabrication, agricultural repairs, and installation. On-site welding is also possible.
Structural Steel
With coded welders, STF is BSEN:1090 accredited (CE marked). Highly experienced working with customers, developers, architects and engineers etc to fabricate structural steelwork for many different uses and to specification, following structural / architectural drawings or plans.
Shepherd Hut Chassis
STF shepherd hut chassis can be purchased off the shelf as 14ft, 16ft, 18ft lengths in standard 1750mm width options for customers wanting a diy project or bulk orders for customers looking to set up, or expand a glamp-site, or businesses which transform a STF chassis into a shepherd hut to sell on.
ABOUT
Steve Thompson Fabrication (STF) Services was founded in April 2015, initially offering agricultural repairs as well as general welding and fabrication services. The owner Steve Thompson has over 15 years experience in the Steel Fabrication Industry.
Since starting, Steve Thompson has grown the business, taking on a full time welder and general works foreman. In addition to steel fabrication Steve has also built six shepherd huts with two on site; one is used as a holiday let www.thefarmhut.co.uk and the other as STF's head office! This was the beginning of STF manufacturing shepherd hut chassis for commercial sales, backed up with valuable knowledge of the build process for customers to tap into.
In November 2019, STF gained BS EN:1090 to become a CE Mark accredited, the European Standard for the provision of structural steel work. With two coded welders this certificate enables STF to provide structural steel for a range of purposes including; new builds and renovations, property extensions, balconies, railings, staircases and more.
The workshop is based just outside Barmouth in Gwynedd, and provides installation and delivery services locally, and if required UK wide.
